Chipos

An early 1970s General Mills potato chip made from dried potatoes. They were pressed into round shapes with a waffle texture. Pre-dated Pringles. Advertised as less grease.
At camp in 1970, we had Chipos, not plain potato chips, with our hot dogs.

Piss on your chips

The correct definition of this expression is to really mess something up for yourself (rather than for someone else) with an unnecessary and/or stupid act.

The key is that it is self-inflicted and therefore has a different meaning to "piss on your bonfire" or "rain on your parade" which refer to generally spoiling or putting a dampener on something for someone else.

The origin of the expression is from the scenario in the UK of a guy buying some takeaway chips (french fries for any US readers) after an evening's drinking.

Finding that he then needs a piss on the way home, the inebriated guy finds a quiet spot somewhere then and puts his chips on the ground nearby while he relieves himself. In his drunken state he then accidentally pisses on his chips, thus depriving himself of his meal through his own carelessness and stupidity.

The expression is particularly applicable for a celebrity who has badly damaged his/or her career because of a needless personal transgression.

Chipstack Reversal

The phenomenon that nearly ALWAYS occurs while playing poker - usually Texas No-Limit Hold'em - at the final table in online pokersites where the shortstack (almost out of the game) and the bigstack (chip leader) positions swap.

This usually will happen with only 4 or 5 seats left in the game and quite often results with the former bigstack knocked out of the game in the 4th or 5th position while the former shortstack will go on to take 2nd position or even the WIN.

In a sit and go, a Chipstack Reversal is usually directly associated with the 'bubble' - last unpaid seat in a tournament/sit and go.
