What a person caught somewhere between adulthood and childhood calls their abdomen. The grown-up wants to sound respectable but the inner child prefers cutsie terms for parts of the body. The inner battle starts with the adult taking charge, but the kid butts in in time to put their two cents in. Result - stomach + tummy = stummy
