Went to this weird club last night where the cringy DJs were the only people dancing. Everybody was on their phone, no vibe, souless atmosphere, a total cunt gathering.

Dark Gardening

In reference used occasionally by night shift workers. Dark gardening refers to the first 4 hours of a shift where you are preparing, pruning, or switching appropriate staff members into positions to prepare for a smooth shift. This is a vital act usually performed by the “leader”/ “charge” of the evening shift, necessary to preform for a pleasant/ smooth shift.

This schedule needs some dark gardening, or it’s going to be rough one.

previval gathering

A "prior to da scheduled shindig" where da festival's directors and participants get together to set everything up and discuss/arrange da events, scheduling, and other necessary logistics.

Just as arriving an hour early and taking a stroll around to leisurely check out all of da floats and displays dat are sitting in line to be in a parade can be equally --- or sometimes even more --- enjoyable than watching da parade itself, attending a previval gathering can also be a total blast, just as da actual hoot 'n' holler dat's being prepared for will conceivably be --- in both examples, you not only get to see everything up-close and thus notice and savor more of da subtle details, but you also are able to meet all of da jovial folks who are running da various attractions, and might even get cordially invited to join one or more of them once da show starts if they see dat you have a particular interest in da subject-matter and/or special capabilities dat they can utilize in their presentations. Plus in any case, of course, you may likely be able to help a few of da fairground-folks to set up some of their displays, which can gain you brownie-points wif them for future networking purposes, and possibly also create some new friendship along da way.
