An expression of extreme surprise with strong South-East Asian roots. Best if said with a Singaporean/Malaysian accent. Alternative spellings include "Wah Lau" and "Wa Lau". The infamous Luncaster can often be heard exclaiming "Wallau" for trivial reasons.
