2. Something that is actually true but sounds like bullshit

(also known as a fact of the day and a drunk fact)

"Doug": "For every hour of sleep, you can stay awake for two hours!"
Person 2: "That's definitely a doug fact."
Person 3: "Yeah, where the fuck did you come up with that?"
"Doug": "I didn't come up with it! It's real!"
Person 2: "Yeah right, you're full of shit."
"Doug": "God, you guys never believe me."

Gary Fact

To make up a fact and/or talk utter shite. Usually used when the person in question has no idea what they're talking about and wants to look like they do.

Also known as Gary Facting or simply "Facting" when someone called Gary is around. I don't make the rules...

Gary Fact Example 1

Gary - "Rrrr, Golden Virginia is so moist it's only smoked by prisoners."

Everyone else - "Idiot..."


Example 2

Gary - "Halo 3 is definitely going to have 64 player multiplayer, 32 a side in the new big team battle, I read it in a magazine."

Everyone else - "Whuuuh?"

An introductory phrase used before an argumentative point is made to make your point seem valid, even though it most likely is not. Commonly seen as an immediate red-flag to someone who has no idea what they are talking about, and an early sign that what they are about to say has absolutely zero evidence to back it up.

I know for a fact that Barack Obama is a muslim, hates America, and is purposely trying to ruin our economy.
