Selective Moral Jerk

Someone who wouldn't steal a pencil from work but chops up anyone who doesn't fit his idea of a moral person. Meanwhile he breaks as many moral conduct rules as the next guy only in his mind those don't matter. Someone who will judge you harshly for a slight indiscretion and will jump to conclusions from incomplete evidence.

Jo Jo - "Man Joe is a dick. He accused me of cheating on an exam because he heard it from Dave who is a chronic liar. Meanwhile Joe is eyeballing Freddie's wife when he's not around."

Selective Cleaning Disorder

Being told to clean or knowing that you need to clean, yet you don't. Instead you get on Facebook and look up words on Urban Dictionary. Then you clean when you absolutely have to (ie: company is coming over), have nothing better to do, or have a sudden urge to clean. But when you do choose to clean, you clean to the best of your ability. It really is a sickness of the mind because most likely you live in a fairly messy, yet often organized, house.

I've been putting off cleaning my room for three weeks, but now that my friends are coming over the entire house has to be spotless! I must have Selective Cleaning Disorder!

Selenquiry

From the Greek "selen-" which indicates the moon and the Latin "-quir-" meaning to search/seek, a Selenquiry is typically a spiritual quest for knowledge which coincides with lunar activity. Usually these quests involve rites which last for one lunar cycle.

Selenquiries can be meant to seek internal truth (i.e. "soul searching"), or external truth, or both. Selenquiries are generally very personal rituals, often devised by the person going through them in order to create a specific spiritual outcome.

"Hey, what do you think of this song, Dave?" asked Bob, passing his earbuds over.

"Sorry, Bob, I'm conducting a Selenquiry right now. Part of it involves choosing to abstain from listening to music," Dave replied.

"Why's that?" Bob asked.

"I find that music has a significant impact on my frame of mind, and I think I've been letting it get too deep into my soul. I want to rediscover who I really am without that kind of influence over me," Dave summarized.

"I see," said Bob. "When will this Selenquiry be over?"

"Next week on Wednesday," Dave said. His ritual would end on the new moon.
