A person who never leaves the area where they grew up, often living with their parents well into their 20s. They typically do not go away to college (or go at all) and often get mediocre civil service jobs such as lifeguard or garbage man. Often closed minded and uncultured. A townie, town clown, home slice, homebody
Roger got into college on a baseball scholarship but dropped out after 2 weeks and moved back home with his parents, now he's just a skell.

A coy greeting, originated from one of the black '70s tv shows, though I cannot remember which. Either JJ on "Good Times" or Raj on "What's Happening?" If you know, please tell! It was always used when greeting a pretty young thing.

A word used in response to a story which seems dubious.
'Pulling a skelly' on someone entails an action, where the index finger is put under the nose, to make a finger moustache.

most commonly used in response to a questionable or suspect story, where the likelyhood of a fake story is high.
