They will argue for instance that sexpats are only the older dudes paying pros, and that "gaming" civilians (= pumping and dumping young girls by taking advantage of the cultural and economic differential) puts them in a whole different category altogether.
This is due to huge ego and self-image issues. Younger sexpats therefore use countless euphemisms such as "pick up artists" and "lifestyle travelers", instead of sexpats. They will also always deny, even at gunpoint, that their sexpatery has anything to do with them not being able to copulate back home.
