It's like jet lag, but more like summer lag. When you're still adjusted to your summer break when you come back on the first day of school or during the first week of school, maybe longer.

FlaSh-Lag Effect 

-a visual illusion wherein a flash and a moving object that appear in the same location are perceived to be displaced from one another (MacKay, 1958; Nijhawan, 1994). Several explanations for this simple illusion have been explored in the neuroscience literature.

-The illusion has been tested in many aspects, through the game of baseball, and how flashes may affect the batter's perception of the ball.

- "FlaSh-Lag" was also the name of a relatively well known Console and PC Gamer from the years 1999-2004.

Perceptisonic Lag 

The amount of time, at a live performance by a popular band, between the beginning of a song and the beginning of the wave of applause signifying that the audience has realised which song is being played.

A: Man, the Perceptisonic Lag on that song was huge... Did those idiots not know what they were listening to?
B: They did play it pretty different from the album version...
A: Yeah, I guess so. But I knew what it was.

Great Lag Spike of Death 

This death occurs exclusively in the world of online multiplayer computer games, namely Garrys Mod. This is experienced only on online servers with a lot of addons, players, and ping. This causes the entire server to freeze up, and time out many players, and crash the remaining. This is awfully similar with the recent DDoS strikes on other multiplayer games.

I tried to play Teh Build Box on Garrys Mod but we experienced The Great Lag Spike of Death.
