Tangentathon

When two people are on good cocaine and start having a competitive conversation. Constantly interrupting each other, apologizing, inhaling loudly through clogged nostrils, and then interrupting each other again while desperately attempting to tell the other person a hyper-interesting deeply personal multilayered rambling four-dimensional spiderweb of at least three unrelated stories at the same time. Each match continues for 10-30 minutes depending on the quality of the cocaine, at which point the party who does not posses the cocaine will submit and begin nodding their head agreeably until the owner of the cocaine realizes he hasn't done a line in about 20 minutes and it's time to do another line. The matches continue every until you're both out of money, concede to an mutual pyrrhic victory and vow to keep your use responsible from now on and hold each other accountable to one eight-ball per weekend. This sport is played every weekend by men around the world.

tangentation

a tangentation is an explanation of a situation(s) or event(s)or both but not limited to only that.it can also be about your trip to the store and what happened in your venture..perhaps you stepped on a cats tail which caused the clerk at the store to go ape on you as she was an animal activist,or the cat bit your ankle which in turn caused you to fall on a board with a nail stuck in it and it peirced your ear,which was great,because you saved so much time and money,relieved by this..you donated your proceeds to the animal activist fund in your area

ok, so perhaps that tangentation was a little far out,but really,tangentations exist everywhere and no-one has had the time to come up with a solid example of how to express what this could lead to.this word will spread like wildfire if you just start rambling on into other topics to only arrive at the original topic in which you started with!

Tangentialism

noun; a point or points made during a discussion that are off-topic or only loosely related to the actual subject of discussion, or the tendency to makes such points ;

noun or adjective; Tangentialist, as a noun describes a person or group of people who frequently make tangentialist remarks

While they were discussing the Trolley Car problem, Rupert made the tangentialist remark that modern trolley cars have safety systems which make it impossible for them to crash into people. He's quite the tangentialist. Unfortunately, the group's discussions were derailed by frequent tangentialism.

tangentialist

(n) person; someone who engages in tangental speech, a communication disorder in which the train of thought of the speaker wanders and shows a lack of focus, never returning to the initial topic of the conversation. Symptoms include unnecessary detail and storytelling that only slightly relates to the original topic or never reaches a conclusion.

The tangentialist Playful_Barber_8131 heard the word "peanut" in conversation, then proceeded to describe how the word origin is derived from the fact that peanuts are legumes and thus related to peas, hence "pea" + "nut" to get the word "peanut," and then went on to describe another fun fact about how American cheese doesn't have enough cheese in it to qualify as real cheese, so it's actually called a "processed cheese food," and that even though they like American cheese they like cheddar cheese a lot more, especially sharp English cheddar, as Cheddar is the epynmous place after which the cheese is named, and it's so interesting how a lot of foods are named after places and the food becomes more famous than the place, like champagne, and so on and so forth, never again returning to the original topic of conversation, which was "do you have any allergies?"
