Translates to "he who inspires awe" in Amharic. This name was borne by Lij Tafari Makonnen (1892-1975), also known as Haile Selassie, the last emperor of Ethiopia. Rastafarians (Ras Tafari meaning "king Tafari") revere Tafari as the earthly incarnation of God and War General.

TAFKAP

1: Acronym for "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince." When, for contract reasons, Prince stopped calling himself Prince and went under his sign people still had to call him something. "The Artist" emerged from "The Artist Formerly..." as the normal thing to say but TAFKAP got around as a mocking runnerup.

2: a name for the actual symbol used in print in place of Prince.
