Shadowboxing

Original: Shadowboxing is an exercise used in the training for combat sports, especially, as its name implies, in boxing. It is used mainly to prepare the muscles before the person training engages in stronger physical activity. In shadowboxing, only one person is required to take part; the participant throws punches into the air at no one in particular or an imaginary opponent.

Slang: The act of being evasive, vague or non-forthcoming with information.

Maria just flat out asked Carl if he was cheating on her and he immediately started shadowboxing. He told her everything except the truth.

Shadowlight

A metaphorical concept, shadowlight is a shadow produced by projection of light rather than an absence of it. Unlike a typical shadow which is frequently associated with a person bringing their personal darkness into a positive environment, shadowlight is associated with a person bringing their light, their positivity, into a dower environment.

The room was thick with gloom, but when Jenna marched in through the heavy oak doors, her shadowlight cast across the musky walls, burning away the dark atmosphere.

ShadowBan

When totalitarian entities use automated algorithms in social media to 'back page' or make content or users no longer findable

These bans are usually set in place to prevent quality content such as criticism, investigative methods or political commentating

Has anybody noticed that conservative and conspiracy media is being ShadowBanned?

I can tell by going to YouTube statistics sites that my views are not being shown for what they actually are, we're being ShadowBanned folks while van life gets artificial growth

Shadoobie

1. A musical reference associated with New York City (NYC), perhaps in criticism of the NYC of the 1970s. The Rolling Stones sang ". . . Shadoobie, my brains been battered. . . " in the song "Shattered" which was not only about Manhattan and NYC at large but possibly was in reference or response to Frank Sinatra's lyrical style, "Do be do be do", and his identity with NYC as established in his song "New York New York".
2. A Quake III Arena player (and first person shooter) extraordinaire formally known as ShimShamShadoobie ranked on theclq.com in 1999 to be the 308th best player out of more than 50,000 tracked players world wide.

Shadowkiss

Rose Hathaway is shadowkissed. She is from The Vampire Academy novels written by Richelle Mead and was in a car accident with her best friend, Lissa Dragomir. Lissa (who is a vampire, along with Rose) brought Rose back to life and in doing so the two were linked with a special bond, one that alows Rose to enter herself into Lissa's mind..which makes her the PERFECT gaurdian for Lissa. This bond was only ever expierenced twice, that we know of. When one is like Rose, has a special bond towards another, they are shadowkissed!

Mia: "Hey, did you notice how Rose was able to tell where Lissa was without even talking to her?"

Mason: "Yah, its because Rose is shadowkissed."
