Reggae fusion, or reggaefusion, is a term that is used to describe the style of mixing reggae or dancehall with different influential elements of other genres whether it be hip hop, r&b, pop, techno or house, rock, alternative, jazz, drum and bass etc. It originated in the late 80s and became popular in the mid-late 90s.

Died out in the seventies due to the shift of reggae to rastafarian and poppier reggae. revived during the two tone movement, and still popular today.
