Skinhead is a subculture that started with the arrival of Jamaican immigrants to working-class neighborhoods in England in the late 1960s. White working-class kids loved the lively reggae music brought by the Jamaican kids. They often shaved their heads and dressed in their working-class style of bluejeans, doc marten boots, and braces (thin suspenders) They enjoyed going to reggae gigs with the black Jamaican kids and skanked together to the reggae music.
There was and still is no racism involved. Skinheads got their name because of their shaved heads. They were originally also called lemonheads, eggheads, suedeheads, and other names. However, skinhead ultimately stuck. Not to be confused with "boneheads" who dress similar but unlike skinheads, boneheads are racist neonazis that are not welcomed in the skinhead community.

A member of any race who shaves their head bald to signify unity (usually among the lower class). Most are not racist, and mainly target law enforcement. Most people think of white supremacists hanging black men from trees when they hear "skinhead", but that's a contradiction to it's real meaning (just like the "swastika" - symbol of peace in many different cultures).

Skinheads have a regimented style of dress that they use as a signifier of both their brotherhood and solidarity with other Skinheads, though it must be noted that any person who puts the fashion style before the outlook/way of life is not a Skinhead but a gimp who should be slapped. Over the years many rediculous attempts to insert bogus values and ideologies have resulted in such psuedo Skinhead (hippie) groups as RASH ("red anarchistador skinheads" also known simply as "the fags") S.H.A.R.P (skinheads against racial prejudice-also known simply as the "ass kissers") GASH (gay aryan skinheads-also known as a complete joke) all three of which have attached themselves to a group of hippie anarchists known around the world as Antifa.

A person with a shaved head, shined boots, and sticks up for there beliefs. There are mainly two types of skins that ive seen. SHARP and Neonazi (also tradition and gay ones but i havent seen any like that). Neonazi skins are the real things while sharp "skins" are wannabe skins without accepting the ideology. Skins also work hand in hand with the Klan. We are not brainwashed herds like most of you.
