The process that comes before wheeling. When someone is interested in a person of the apposite sex (or same sex) but feels it is still to early to begin the wheeling process.

friend: Jimmy was all over you!
other friend: yeah but i just feel like it's too soon to begin the wheels, i think i'm gonna try idling.

friend: you should totally wheel tommy!
other friend: no. i'm done with wheeling for now. too complicated. i think i'm going to idle for a while and see where it goes.
