The process of accidentally losing an entire day of otherwise productive time to an expansive, multipage website found through a random link or, more commonly, when directed there by a friend.

Please, stop linking me to SCP-wiki, tvtropes, college humor, icanhascheezburger, urban dictionary and the like. I just don't have the willpower, and if I keep getting rabbit-holed while I'm at work it's going to get me fired.

howler

A term commonly used in Dublin, Ireland to describe a fowl-looking woman. A woman usually cursed with particularly ugly facial features rather than an undesirable body type. This 'howler' is called so because she reminds one of a hound or an ugly looking mongrel dog.

"Shardon? He's ridin' Shardon? Jayzus, she's some howler, he must be desperate."

"I saw your ex today Jenny. His new girlfriend is a TOTAL howler! You're so much better hun. They deserve each other, what a bastard!"

Ear Holed

A term describing a situation encountered in the sport of American Football, referring to one player being tackled/blocked in the side of the head without previous knowledge or warning of impact. It is referred to as "getting ear holed" because the ear hole on a football helmet is usually a devastating blind spot. Getting Ear Holed can often cause concussions.

Ethan was watching the safety approaching on his left, but the outside linebacker totally ear holed him from the right.

To choose a college major or enroll in a training program for a job field or profession that is desperate for applicants and is hiring like crazy but by the time you complete your education/training the market for your skill has become saturated and nobody is hiring.

Before I enrolled in college there was a shortage of electrical engineers,they were hiring like crazy and making top dollar.Four years later I have my degree but all the jobs have been filled.I just got career-holed .
