It is a deceptive marketing campaign made by none other than the clothing store based on a town that has nothing to do with surfing. If it was santa cruz then yes that is a surf town. The real hollister is a cow town in the middle of nowhere where people do their surfing on ponds. The population consists of latinos and anglos who have nothing else to do but cow tip. Please do not buy this product. This Hollister campaign is spread like wildfire throughout the nation even though there is a simple tool called mapquest and find out that hollister is NOT on the coast.

Get the hollistermug. a dark store that you can smell 50ft. away. kind of expensive...some teens who get brainwahed and peer-pressured by peers in school go beg their parents to go there even though the parents have bills to pay, they end up spending 80 dollars and think they done something so great. then they get laughed at because they only have like 2 or 3 shirts.

Get the hollistermug. A cute, trendy store that is OWNED BY Abercrombie and Fitch. It is not an "offshot" of said store, but is owned by it. Those who claim that Hollister is a wannabe A&F store need to check their sources, and need to learn to research before sounding like idiots and dissing something they know nothing about.
Also, Hollister as well as Abercrombie clothes are both comfortable and of extremely high quality, therefore bringing the higher prices (in Abercrombie, that is, Hollister is less expensive). It is business code to highten the prices when the quality goes up, which is why a shirt from WalMart becomes destroyed two weeks after buying due to its lack of good quality. Good quality = higher prices. Its not rocket science.
