A great band that have brought out many fantastic albums and became big in 1994 with the album called Dookie. But have had other albums suchas Nimrod, Imsomniac and Warning.
The members in Green Day are Tre Cool, Mike Dirnt and Billie Joe Armstrong.

best band of all time. all of their songs are good. american idiot is a great album, along with dookie, nimrod, and all of their CDs. Green Day is made of billie joe armstrong, tre cool and mike dirnt. they rock. seriously- go see them in concert, you will not be dissapointed. they did not sell out, they just became more popular. why not share great music? it's annoying that it's cool to hate famous bands and that it is cool to like not famous bands. trying to be an individual still only makes you part of the crowd.

A fantastically awesome band that has been around since 1988. They got started when Billie Joe Armstrong met Mike Pritchard (Mike Dirnt for you ignoramuses who obsess about how 'hotttt' Billie Joe is.), and voila! Sweet Children was born.
They've had a very long career that has produced 9 albums of phenomenal material. Beginning with 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, (which was a compilation of the EP'sSlappy,39/Smooth, and 1,000 Hours), and the most recent being American Idiot, frequently referred to as the sellout album.
It is a frequent mistake of prepubescent girls that the only member of the band is frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.

A great band unfortunately ruined by the new wave of teeny bopper followers who sadly only know of about 4 songs all of which come from the newest of the bands albums "American Idiot" which if honest fails in comparison to the bands work on albums such as kerplunk and dookie both of which are essentials if you really are a true Green Day fan, if you do not own these albums and don't like their origonal punk orogins then you don't call yourself a true fan.
A true Green Day fan owns one of the albums before warning i.e: nimrod,kerplunk,dookie or 1039 smoothed out slappy hours.
A "true" teeny bopper fan of the band will think that boulevard of broken dreams is the best record ever produced and generally believe that punk itself is well crap.

A really good band. For those of you people who are saying that American Idiot is just all politically related, you are completley wrong. It says the real way of American living. Normal people have to deal with drugs and sex and real life problems everyday(streets, schools, etc). They just say what they really think about American people and life. And for those of you that are saying that Billie Joe can't sing live, you need to have an ear checkup. He sings really good. Just because they have some stupid teenyboppers and posers saying they are hot and sexy doesn't mean they are a poser or bad band. That's not theirfault. You have to actually listen and hear their songs and lyrics to see they are an excellent band. They say what they really think and I think that their albums are great. And If you hate Green Day well, this is just my opinion, and you have to respect that. And if you hate Green Day that much well then don't listen to their songs and don't be wasting your time posting nasty stuff over here. Cuz they don't even care what you think
