Fursona

The noun Fursona is a contraction of the words Furry and Persona. It is commonly used by artists to describe a personality in their character creations, which fits when a character can be described as anthropomorphic. Although it may be most commonly used in speech by individuals in the Furry Fandom, it has also been used as another way to describe a non-human character's personality.

In it's most common usage in the Furry Fandom, artists use it as a description about their character, and how that character and it's species may relate to that person's real world identity.

The hair on my Fursona is red, just like me!

Like a persona, but for those furry weirdos. They're not actually possessed by an animal, they just never grew up. Get yourself a freaking persona!!!

Sometimes, I think those people with fursonas need to be in mental hospitals...

fursona non grata

An unacceptable or unwelcome furry individual at a given event.

1. Dude, that guy jumped on stage in a stolen fursuit, screamed into the mic that the CIA was after him, and punched the Guest of Honor in the dick. He's Fursona non grata now at a bunch of cons. You'll never see him again.
2. That guy tweeted a bunch of bullshit nonsense about the con staff and was permabanned. Total Fursona non grata. Kthxbai.
