Foxitis

A treatable illness caused by over consumption of right-wing media. Symptoms include paranoia, fear, outrage, and in severe cases, physical violence. Not limited to TV, Foxitis can be contracted through a toxic diet of right-wing social media platforms, podcasts, and talk radio. Foxitis is reinenforced in the brain by algorithms that drive recommended content. The disease is not permanent. Successful treatment includes deliberate exploration of other media, especially foreign outlets (BBC, ITV, CBC) that offer diverse views of how and why the world works. Deliberate consumption of diverse views changes the patient’s social media algorithms, thereby changing the course of the illness. Also see Foxmania.

FoxNewsed

When any action, comment or situation you are involved with is taken and spun entirely out of context to enforce the personal agenda of a (usually narrow-minded, educated only enough to be dangerous) third-party who has only their own personal benefit at heart.
Mike - "Remember that douche, Bill O'Reilly, who was constantly creeping on my girl?"

James - "The one with the herp?"

Mike - "Yeah, the bastard took that picture of me kissing your mom last Christmas and convinced her that I was cheating so that she'd dump me for him. He almost FoxNewsed me, dude."

James - "What a douche. Wait...you were kissing my mom?"

Folie a deux

Used with humor, as a simple statement, in a conversation when you strongly disagree with the majority. Originally a French term used in psychiatry to describe a mental disorder in which two or more associated persons share the same delusion. In other words, you are saying "The two of you share the same delusion." Translated "madness between two."

Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes is a band from Seattle. They are lumped in with the "indie" scene, and manage to create music that invokes images of the old countryside, golden fields lit by the setting sun, and endless dirt roads whose only inhabitants are older than the land itself, all while not sounding very "indie".
It was around last month that I drove through the countryside with straw in my mouth and a clear conscience with Fleet Foxes ending the silence that surrounded me.
