Windbaggery

The act of loving to hear oneself speak to such an extent, that they will prattle on endlessly while saying little of value. Oftentimes this prattling will be reflective of the speaker's misguided sense of worth, i.e: they think much higher of themselves than what is deemed appropriate, and have little difficulty consistently extolling their own virtue while others roll their eyes.

Avatar could have been an hour shorter, were it not for James Cameron's signature windbaggery.

I hope we won't have to put up with Steve's windbaggery at this party. It's one thing to brag about everything, but does anyone even care?

Negative term for one who uses a sailboat. Generally, used motorboat enthusiasts displeased by sailboat's "right-of-way" and relatively cumbersome operation.

Okra Windbag

a sarcastic, playful twisting of the real name of TV talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey.

1. Julius: Oprah says-

Brutus: Who cares what Okra Windbag says? Why do you depend on these media gurus to make your mind up for you? Think for yourself.

2. In the Del Webb's High Sierra casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada I saw an "adult" entertainment show called "Bottoms Up '87". Its jokes had 4th-grade sex humor, racist and anti-religious humor, a drag queen chopper chick karaoke of Bruce Springsteen's "Fire" (this was the best part) and a minstrel show skit called "So You Want To Be Black" featuring an "Okra Windbag" (and she was in blackface getup too!). Juvenile and dumb. I kept calling up a waitress and she kept serving me free drinks. All the dumb white trailor trash moms in the theater room ate it all up.

Wingage

An effort made by a good friend to suss out a crowd and find a potential score for a mate(hook). The person taking care of the wingage needs to make sure that the potential score (bait) has all the right criteria – this should be previously discussed and agreed upon before the wingage mission begins. This person is also to nod in agreement to all the baits wonderful perceptions of the hook – so that all goes down well (line and sinker) The code word to abort the wingage mission is NO FISH.

NOTE: the criteria is bound to be a little more complex for a woman than for a man. Please don’t let this dissuade you from being a ‘wingage’ partner for your girlfriends.

I went out last night and offered some superb wingage to my friend Lee, he did the walk of 'i am a god' this morning.
