Guys typically use the up nod as a sort of "sup" greeting. It is less formal than the down nod.

Jay gave me an up nod as I walked down the hall. "Sup," I replied.

A poor attempt by Microsoft to disclaim Apple's great mp3 player, the iPod, by creating a fake advertisement of an exact replica without iPod's only flaw: a battery that needs to be replaced.

Theres no way an ipod could stay that small if you were required to put in two double-a batteries.

used when refering to something farther north than you are, or simply the northern part of the US. Origonated from the words up north being altered by a scandanavian accent.
