Usually used by southerners, taxi drivers, adult film stars, or a combination of all 3.

Jethro Tulling

(v.) The act of incorrectly assuming that a band whose name is a person's name is the name of a member of said band. This is most common by assuming that the band Jethro Tull's front man is actually named Jethro Tull, when, in reality, his name is Ian Anderson.

It is also common with the bands Gogol Bordello, Steely Dan, and Pink Floyd.
Mike: Did you see how amazingly Gogol Bordello can play his guitar?

Jeff: Dude, quit Jethro Tulling, the guy's name is Eugene Hütz, but he is most definitely amazing!

It is from a 70s children's tv series called Catweasel. The eponymous character is a wizard who is surprised by 'modern' technology like the electric light bulb "sun in a bottle" and the telephone "telling bone"

Telling on yourself. The act of showing guilt for one’s own actions in the form of giving information or details about something done or said without being asked.
Ex: She really should stop telling on herself when she was the one who started the rumor. The act of incriminating own self in an act due to guilt.
