Reasonable Doubt

1. Rapper Jay-Z's 1996 debut album. Considered by many to be one of the greatest rap albums ever.
2. Legal term for when there is a plausible reason to believe that someone has not committed the crime of which they are being accused.

1. "The Black Album" was tight, but "Reasonable Doubt" is still Jigga's best album.

2. The witness was unable to place my client at the crime, therefore you have reasonable doubt annd you have to acquit my client.

circular reasoning

Circular reasoning is providing evidence for the validity of an assertion, which assumes the validity of the assertion.

General forms include "A is true because A is true" or "A is true because B is true, and B is true because A is true".

Often used as a mechanism to prevent an assertion from being challenged or questioned, or to "win" a debate by sending it round and round in circles.

Examples of circular reasoning:

"I'm right because I'm right."

"There isn't a problem with the rule, because if everyone obeyed it there wouldn't be a problem."

"Piracy is wrong because it's against the law, and it's against the law because it's wrong."

"X is stupid because he's an idiot."

To raise a person's morale after it has been previously lowered, generally with the intent of lowering it again immediately after. To lift someone up so they have farther to fall back down. The opposite of demoralise.

henry: Why are you losing on purpose?
tom: I am going to remoralise him so when I win he will be more demoralised.

To punch the partner during anal or vaginal sex in the side to induce groin tightening. Usually done from behind so the partner will be surprised and cannot anticipate such action.
