Regardless of the other definitions of the town of Redding in Connecticut, it really isn't much different or worse than any other suburban town in the United States. Sure, we are probably wealthier than many other towns, but behavior and people wise, we're nothing out of the ordinary.
Redding is a town in Connecticut's Fairfield County.
Sports play a big role in Redding. The students do have a lot of school spirit, but what's wrong with that? Joel Barlow High School has relatively high scores on standardized test as well. Yes, and there are also the kids who drink and smoke, but honestly, what town doesn't have kids like that? Wherever you go, teens will always be experimenting with drugs and alcohol. The cops, however, don't really have much to do, so they will punish you severely for relatively minor infractions of the law. And contrary to popular beliefs, the schools in Redding aren't populated with only jocks and sluts. Sure, we have our fair share, but what school doesn't? There are also the sexually active kids, but not everyone loses their virginity at 14 or 15, like many people claim. And there are many people who make large salaries, but not everyone drives around in $70,000 cars and live in $4 million houses.

Get the Redding Roll mug.Redding is a mid-sized northern california city that is secluded from any major cities and they like it that way. It is over 2 hours north of shit hole sacramento and they dont have to deal with traffic, crowds, and gangs as much as city people do and thats why a lot of city folks have moved up there. It is 90% white and the other 10% are pretty much white washed but they love their minorities. There are okie rednecks, hillbillies, cowboys, stoners, tweekers, sluts, bros, bro hoes, yuppies, jesus freaks, scenesters, hipsters, and even some wanna-be gangsters all within the 100,000 population, so i guess its pretty diverse. It is hot as hell and thats what its known for even though its only 3 degrees hotter than any other valley town in california. At least they have bad ass lakes that are only 10 mins away. The fishing and hunting and other outdoor recreational activities are way better up there than anywhere else in california. Lakes, mountains and rivers surround Redding and the sac river runs right through it giving it some amazing scenery. Redding is one of the best central valley towns (Redding to Bakersfield) to live in. Some of the surrounding smaller towns are even better to live in than Redding including Palo Cedro, Bella Vista, Millville, Cottonwood, Old Shasta and maybe even Red Bluff. There are some not so great towns that are near Redding including Anderson and Shasta lake city but they arent too bad, there is just a shit load of tweekers in those towns.

Some say Stockton but Stockton is only an hour or so outside the Bay Area while Redding is three long hours away from non inbred populations. The biggest population of registered sex offenders in the United States in proportion to population, the Redding Meghan’s Law Map looks like nothing but red sex offender alert symbols to the point where the map is obscured. People in Redding wear clothing and hair styles decades out of date. With high temperatures and nothing to do obesity is the norm in Redding and surrounding areas. Openly racist school teachers preside the most poorly rated schools in California. No one born or raised in Redding has ever achieved anything of note. Most of the few intelligent who grew in Redding and move away end up fabricating or embellishing their past to dissociate themselves from the corrosive stigma of this squalid area. Redding gave birth to two racist synagogue bombers and double murderers Matthew and Tyler Williams. Factor in meth and homelessness you have the most disgusting city in the First World.

It is centrally located within Fairfield County making a trip to either Norwalk or Danbury easy and has a unique tie to high finance with Alfred Winslow Jones, credited with forming the first modern hedge fund, being a former resident. Some very wealthy people who have lots of acreage as well as upper middle class families. Does not have the same ostentation as some other Fairfield County towns. Great public school system as well as close to Exceptional Private Schools. A trip to NYC is not as easy as Greenwich but, it is close enough. NYC is highly overrated anyway.
