The art of making anything look convincing by presenting it in a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation. This technique can be used by anyone for any purpose and works equally well with middle and upper management. Technique is much less effective on non-management rank and file employees.

Powerpoint Presentation

A slide show created with a program made by Microsoft. Its a simple program where you create a eye-catching visual for your audience while you eleaborte or explain your topic(s).
You are not meant to have lots of writing on the powerpoint rather dot-jots, graphs/charts, and maybe pictures.
The entire purpose of a Powerpoint is to provide your audience something to look at.

You might have to do a powerpoint presentation in front of you class tommorow, and you may be nervous. Just relax, take deep breaths, ensure you are knowledgable about your topic, and tell yourself that you'll do fine. :p

If you've done a powerpoint presentation before, you can do it again. Go get 'em.

PowerPoint Pallor

Ghostly pale skin due to too much time in front of a computer, not enough time outside.

Most commonly seen in junior investment bankers and management consultants. These guys spend all their time creating PowerPoint presentations and rarely get outside during daylight hours.

"Hey, have you seen Alex since he started working at that consulting firm?"

"Yeah, they must be working him night and day - he has the worst case of PowerPoint Pallor I've seen in a long while! He really needs to get some sun."

Powerpoint Filibuster

When a student or multiple students ask questions in order to distract the teacher from changing slides. This allows for students to have more time to be able to take notes on the current slide.

Student 1: "This professor is going so quickly through these slides!"
Student 2: "I'm going to put up my hand and attempt a powerpoint filibuster."
Student 1: "Do it. For the students."

A teacher or professor that uses random powerpoints from Google to attempt to explain a topic, but as a result, ends up confusing students by creating a clusterfuck of conflicting ideas. Power Point whores are often oblivious to the destruction that they create.

After seeing the material in a powerpoint from a university in Japan, that powerpoint whore has me confused as fuck.

If we could save trees by not printing all of this powerpoint whore's notes over global warming, we might actually be able to counteract global warming.

gained popularity in late 2020, early 2021 especially on the platform Tik Tok. This party is (usually) a virtual event where attendees present powerpoints on the topic of their choice. Often times, these topics are verging on non-sensical, "Why Finland Doesn't Exist" or incredibly random, "Rating pop punk songs by how good they are to scream in your car alone."

A good chance to drink (if you're of legal age) and to chat shit with your mates.

Powerpoint Sing-a-Long

Any powerpoint presentation in which the presenter reads from the slide verbatim without any side comments, observations or examples. Use of monotone voice usually goes with this.

I could hardly stay awake during that last presentation. What a powerpoint Sing-a-Long! On the plus side, he did a killer Ben Stein impersonation!
