2: A situation where an individual chooses not to take a stance on a political issue, or they decide to establish their own unique political view on that issue that is not being held by any major political party, for any reason. Practicing political neutrality can allow an individual to have a wider array of options when attempting to address a variety of different issues; as well as ensure that needs and desires of the people are being handled adequately. (To help you understand the GIF I chose for this, imagine the ball is a certain political issue the government would like to address, the two dogs fighting over the ball are the mainstream political parties clashing over which of their solutions will best address the issue, the dog who backed away represents an individual who has chosen not take a stance on that issue, and the dog who stuck their head in between the two dogs heads represents an individual who has made their own unique view on that issue because they don't agree with the views held by either of the political parties fighting over the ball.)
