Firstly, blanche monnier became anorexic. By the time she was rescued by the police after receiving an anonymous tip from an unknown person, she barely weighed 25kg.
Secondly, she wasn’t in the best sanitary or hygiene state. A foul smell permeated the entire attic where she was locked up, resulting from the rotten food and human excrements all around her.
