Libbies and Connies

Short for Liberals and Conservatives. A Libby is a derogatory term for someone who preaches non stop about social issues without having a clue what they are talking about. A Connie, on the other hand, is an insulting term for someone whose head is still up BushSr./Reagan/Nixon/W's buttcrack.

A popular nickname for Oakland, California, inspired by the name of its current mayor.

Any county, city or township that ineffectually employs utopian ideals or idealistic policies to address dystopian problems.

I ran three consecutive stop signs after peeling donuts in a sideshow. A nearby cop who saw me was too busy to do anything. Later, I lit a cigarette in a food court garden and was cited. I guess our town is becoming another Libbyland.

To humiliate, debunk, annoy or assert dominance over Liberals, or socially left-leaning individuals.

Often used ironically in relation to Conservative or socially Right-Wing individuals who engage in petty behaviour, hipocrisy or morally questionable actions, in an attempt to humiliate/provoke Liberals.

Unironically:

Person A: Did you watch X Person in last night's debate? He truly dominated the scene, the moderator literaly called off the debate because the opposition couldn't even make up a coherent sentence. And the audience was already protesting.

Person B: He truly owned the libs.

Ironically:

Person A: I refuse to wear a mask in public, its my freedom, and your feelings don't matter.

Person B: wow... Getting Covid to own the libs...
