To be Joyced is to be lied to by a significant other where they lie to you and say they just want to slow the relationship down, then as time passes they distance themselves from you, then you find out they've actually been cheating on you, but never had the guts to tell you upfront.

To get the shaft. On Wednesday, June 2nd 2010, Detroit Pitcher Galarraga had a perfect game in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. A ball was hit to the first basemen, and he flipped it to Galarraga, the runner was clearly out, but umpire Jim Joyce called him safe.

Name given to the recipient of a thrown dildo to the face. The term was coined after New Zealand politician Steven Joyce was hit in the face with a pink dildo hurled by a protestor during an interview in early 2016.

Often used in conjunction with the phrase "That's for raping our sovereignty!"
