From the tv series community - An effect in which a person that doesn’t know what to do with there life is given Money by the dean of greendale community college and is Compelled to enroll in greendale to put purpose into there life. So the end up using the money the school gave them back to the school in exchange for classes. This method insures that the school keeps getting new students to trap inside the college

Dean: “here $500 for the taste I got of being powerful”.

Jeff: * Jeff whispers to the dean* “dean the school can’t afford 500—

Dean: “wait for it.“

Elroy: “I have no idea to do with the rest of my life now”.

Dean: “we offer a wide variety of classes”

Elroy: “I think I’ll check that out”

Dean: *to Jeff* “ Now that my friend, is the greendale effect”

Jeff: “I will never get out of here will I?”

Dean: “ I haven’t met many that do.”

Greendale

A boring small town in Wisconsin. If you find yourself in Greendale and you're not looking to buy a $8 burger or other over priced novelties from "the village" then you probably got lost on your way to Milwaukee. 90% of the people living there are either rich plastic families or retired old couples. If you're not one of the 2 you'll probably have a run in with one of the many cops with nothing better to do.

Person 1: Where are we and why is everyone driving an SUV and smiling

Person 2: I don't know, we gotta get out of here, why do all these streets start with the same letter???????

Person 3: Turn around now, we're in Greendale

greeninker

(sometimes written as two words: 'green inker') A member of the green ink brigade: in British journalistic circles, these are crackpots who write letters to the editors of newspapers or to celebrities, highlighting important words and phrases by using different coloured (typically green) ink. They may also write the whole letter in a coloured ink.

A famous novelist, read the first line of a letter, which began 'Lynda, you rotten swine..' and thought: "Oh no, a greeninker!" but reading on she realised it was a friend expressing mock jealousy over a recent success of hers.

Greendale Secondary School

Greendale Secondary school is the better than Punggol Secondary school. The teachers in Greendale Secondary school genuinely cares about the students’ well being and are decent towards the behaviour. The teachers and the year heads are also very friendly and chats with students on a daily basis like a friend. In Greendale, students are treated like a one big family. It is a positive, cheerful and motivational environment that many students see it as a ‘second home.’ It offers unique experiences such as outdoor cooking during physical education, camps, class sales, games carnival, Greendale carnival and so on. The class sales is a unique experience for many Greendale students. The teachers are able to notice your unsteady emotions and gives advice to you. They are really trustful unlike other schools.

Primary six student: I wanna go to Punggol Secondary School
Parents: Go to Greendale Secondary School. You will enjoy better there.
