G.A.K.R.

Simply, "Giant Ass Kicking Robot." Can be used in reference to any number of things, from the film "The Iron Giant" to the popular masterpiece of Japanese animation, "Voltron." Pronounced "gacker."

And then the G.A.K.R. came flyin' out of space and blew up the military base with a thousand missiles!

One who is a grimey ass N*gga, G.A.N. One who never showers, walks around barefoot with disgusting toenails, towel is on the ground outside. One who constantly walks in on roomates girlfriend in the nude while showering.

"gentlemen, are you going to blaze that? Can I get a hit? Please? One hit? Common fellas"

Yeah, my dad got around. Crazy, huh?"

G.A.N.G.S.T.A

An acronym created by Micahel Hannah in the Twin Cities, MN to identify people who follow the urban culture who are about their business in life. It takes away from the original thug meaning and makes it more positive. The letters stand for Gaining Attrubutes Needed (to) Get Somewhere Through Achievement, spelling out the word gangsta. Common people following the postive urban movement are also dubbed as real hip hop heads, who show interest in music by such rappers as Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, Mos Def and other more thought provoking rappers, aside from some tasteless gibberish commerical rap. The acronym was made into a song that features on the underground hip hop album "New Agenda Musik" by local Twin Cities, MN hip hop artists Young Son (Michael Hannah) and A.R.O (Tony Ohnstad, featuring local Neo-Soul singer Kovan.

That speech you did about ending discrimination in our community was raw! You really keeping it G.A.N.G.S.T.A!

G.A.F.F.E

GAFFE is an acronym for - Greenwashing Attempt For Fundraising Efforts. There is now a prevalent effort for NGO’s and other nonprofit organizations to raise money based on fears that have little or no scientific evidence to support there causes. However, these organizations will shamelessly propagate misinformation to create fear, sympathy and anger to promote their causes in an effort to raise money for themselves.

Did you see that NGO showing a picture of a turtle with a plastic bag around it’s neck? When confronted, they admitted to the BBC that it was a photoshopped image and the BBC retracted the story when this was found out.. just another example of a G.A.F.F.E. that is being used in media and on-line
