Blackadder ending

The above definition is not quite true. A Blackadder ending refers to the final sequence of events from the fourth series (Blackadder Goes Forth), a comedy set in the trenches of World War I, where the mood of a consistently comedic show unexpectedly switches to become utterly bleak.

In the original example, the final ten minutes of the series sees the main characters (in the trenches) change from joke-spewing, two-dimensional caricatures to emotional, terrified 'real' people. The commanding officers, until now cliche bumbling, upper-class idiots totally unsuited to their positions, are suddenly suggested to be not only totally aware they're sending millions to be slaughtered but also utterly at peace with it. The direction of the jokes shift, with the focus suddenly being on the futility of charging towards machines guns with revolvers/sticks and allusions to the pre-war lives they left behind.

It ends with four flawed but ultimately sympathetic characters charging over the top to their inevitable death and a fade out to the present day, their personal sacrifice ultimately forgotten. Sad music, slow-motion, tears.

endometriosis

Endometriosis is a painful, chronic disease that affects 5 1/2 million women and girls in the USA and Canada, and millions more worldwide. It occurs when tissue like that which lines the uterus (tissue called the endometrium) is found outside the uterus -- usually in the abdomen on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and ligaments that support the uterus; the area between the vagina and rectum; the outer surface of the uterus; and the lining of the pelvic cavity. Other sites for these endometrial growths may include the bladder, bowel, vagina, cervix, vulva, and in abdominal surgical scars. Less commonly they are found in the lung, arm, thigh, and other locations.

This misplaced tissue develops into growths or lesions which respond to the menstrual cycle in the same way that the tissue of the uterine lining does: each month the tissue builds up, breaks down, and sheds. Menstrual blood flows from the uterus and out of the body through the vagina, but the blood and tissue shed from endometrial growths has no way of leaving the body. This results in internal bleeding, breakdown of the blood and tissue from the lesions, and inflammation -- and can cause pain, infertility, scar tissue formation, adhesions, and bowel problems.
Diagnosis is considered uncertain until proven by laparoscopy, a minor surgical procedure done under anesthesia. A laparoscopy usually shows the location, size, and extent of the growths. This helps the doctor and patient make better treatment choices.

Eldonics

A slang, or series of phrases, used by those from the generations of "Great Generation", "Silent Generation", and some "Baby Boomers" to describe a noun, verb, or situation that earlier generations tend to misunderstand.

Eldonics consist of phrases such as "It's raining cats and dogs!" and "your barn door is open".

Eldonics also consists of the suffix "Itty" preceding with words that rhyme with "It." Other incomplete slang words are "dem", "der", etc.

Eldonics also consist of misconstruing words such as "Indian" to be pronounced like "Engeeine" , en-jee-uhn.

The prefix derives from the word "Elder" and the suffix derives from the word "phonics".

Video Game Ending Syndrome

Video Game Ending Syndrome is the intense feeling of sadness that a person may experience upon completion of a video game that the person was able to really immerse themselves in. These video games often draw the user into the their story, involving the user in the characters lives, so that when something happens to the characters the user feels emotions connected with it. This type of syndrome can be experienced mid-game if say, your favorite character is killed off, however it usually only appears at the conclusion of the game, wherein the story reaches its conclusion and the feeling of sadness is created by either the events in the conclusion, or simply the fact that gameplay, and the storyline is not over. This syndrome usually lasts at maximum one day, and can be cured by the purchase of a new video game which is equally involving. There is also some evidence to suggest a similar syndrome exists with "books" however this is impossible to test since the art of reading has been lost for many years.
Dude 1: Hey man whats wrong with Jack?

eagles ending

a movie that is good all the way through, but has a horrible ending.

this is due to the fact that the eagles always choke when it comes to the playoffs, which is why they always have a bad ending without a super bowl victory.
Jake: Wow, that shitty ending ruined the whole movie.
Tom: Yeah I know. What an eagles ending.
Jake: Indeed.
