Euphemistic swear word, used to avoid giving offence, especially when need arises to curse in front of children.

Derived from the idiom that when something goes wrong it is known as 'throwing a spanner in the works".

A worker who watches the clock eagerly awaiting quitting time.

A person comes into work and doesn't really work, but pretends to work while waiting until the end of the business day. Spins chair to make time progess a little faster, so therefore called "Chair spinner".
