Midnight Maintenance is work that is performed after normal working hours when oversight and supervision may be lax or nonexistent. This work usually is fast reckless and does not meet any associated expectations or follow any guidelines. This work may be and usually is just the bare minimum to get the job done.

While in most cases the person performing midnight maintenance is capable in their task occasionally Midnight Maintenance can be performed by a one a.m. wonder this can lead to a very dangerous situation.

People performing midnight maintenance rarely ever use a procedure.

Billy has me out here doing some midnight maintenance on the system, it only has to pass the operational test.
