internet hostage

When you are talking to someone online and they will not let you log off peacefully. When you log on the next day there are usually 20-30 messages from them asking if you are there in your offline message.
You: Well its kinda late... I'm gonna go get some sleep.
Them: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :'(
Them: Just stay and talk for a few more minutes PLZPLZPLZ
You: Ok...

(30 minutes later)

You: I really have to go, I have to wake up for work in 4 hours.
Them: But I really want to talk to you...
You: I have to go.
Them: 5 more mins!!!!
You: No, sorry. We can talk tomorrow or something.
Them: Tomorrow??? Come on just a few more minutes.
You: Bye
Them: Waaaaiiitt!

(Next Day)

"You have logged on to internet messaging service"

Offline messages:

Them: You there?
Them: Hello?
Them: Did you log off?
Them: I know you are there.
Them: You just went invisible.
Them: Why aren't you talking?
Them: Hellooooooo!?!?!?
*BUZZ!*
Them: Hey talk to me...

"Dude, this chick held me internet hostage for almost an hour last night. I thought I wasn't ever going to be able to log off."

interwebz point

Interwebz points (or interwebs points) are an unofficial currency of internet chatrooms and discussion boards. They don't count for anything, but some folks still "collect" them as a badge of honor. Originally used positively as a means of recognizing another's kindness, may also be used sarcastically to highlight another's status as a noob.
Thanks for the awesome vacation suggestion, TheTopDog, +10 interwebz points for you. ASSMUNCH1337, your suggestion sucked, -1,000 interwebz points for you.

intercoma

1. an extremely long pause during a public announcement over an intercom, where the microphone is still keyed and making static noise, indicating a brain fart by the person making the announcement.
Bruce was very nervous on his first day as a stewardess. While making the the safety announcement, he slipped into an "intercoma" in the middle of explaining the oxygen masks.

For nearly thirty seconds, the microphone hissed in the passenger's ears until he regained his train of thought.

interject

A word used by someone who wants to interrupt someone else with a Richard Stallman-esque level of assholishness.
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
