Salt coating doesn't make a statement any more true despite claims that it is a sign of honesty. Salt coating when criticizing someone often leaves them focused on the toxic garbage words instead of the main point unless they have a strong bullshit filter. Also known as destructive criticism.

Result: Cook takes the constructive criticism into consideration and improves the dish by making it less sweet.
