Hurricane Day 

To have a day off from school or work be cause of a Hurricane. Like a snow day only for Hurricanes.

We had to many Hurricane days this year and now we have to add more days to the end of the school year!

pay day spawn camping 

Almost a direct result of the recession though it has been observed prior to it. It is the act of going to a friend or family members house and waiting until they either come home with a check or decide to go cash it in an effort to borrow money.

Sue: Someone has been in the Johnson's front yard for about an hour and they aren't home. Should we call the police?
Nate: Nah thats just Bob's brother Guy, he's been pay day spawn camping every other Friday since he lost his job.
Sue: Poor thing, damn economy.

Baumer day 

A "Baumer day" includes staying home instead of going to school for a list of various reasons. Including but not limited to: Late hockey game, lost a hockey game, too much work to do, had to work the night before, or even just wanted to take a day off.
