ticket taker

Someone who uses up all the damn shit tickets. Usually leaving you to start, realize you're out, and have to do the cheek-clinch-penguin-waddle to get more.
Jake "I was in such a rush to drop a deuce the other day, I didn't even realize we were out of shit tickets..."

Brant "LOL yeah dude, hate when that happens".

Jake "It was prolly travis, you'd think he has the worst shits the way he uses that stuff. Damn Ticket Taker.

A few volunteer editors read your definition and decided to not publish it. Don't take it personally!

The email check of shame. When you realize that all hopes and dreams of publishing that one definition on Urban Dictionary that made you die of laughter to yourself while stuck in quarantine are gone, gone, gone.
Phone: *makes email notification sound*
Me: *drops everything and opens email faster than the speed of light*

Me: Well that's just great.

take on me

The phrase "take on me" is nonsense verse that was written to sound cool. It's really just a grammatically incorrect version of "take me on". A-Ha repeating themselves in order to have catchier lyrics.
I have nothing clever for the chorus, so...."Take on me!"

Take Your Pajamas Off

A way of saying 'You must be dreaming.' Derived from 'Take your pajamas off, because you are dreaming'.
Bob wanted $500 for the jousting sticks, so I said, "take your pajamas off."

Take a Joel

When, upon arriving at a work site involving manual labor, the supervisor of the job walks around for a while not doing anything while younger workers unload the truck and begin the job. This walk around the property is usually followed by said supervisor leaving the job site to get a tool he 'forgot' or just go get coffee. Taking a Joel never lasts less than seven minutes and can be performed by anyone, anywhere, to delay the start of real work.
Chris- Shit, I cant believe we have to dig out a septic system at seven thirty in the morning, fuck this.
Stephen- Dude, lets take a joel, that should kill some time nicely.
