Through the socio-political reforms of the Perestroika program, Gorbachev raised the standard of living, increased the civil liberties of the Russian (soviet) peoples and dissolved the threat of a Nuclear Holocaust.

There should be a statue of Gorbachev in Russia, not Stalin.
