When someone who has been affected mentally or psychologically by a trauma, or even a bad upbringing, is criticized for the behavior they display as a result of the trauma, with those criticizing seemingly forgetting, or not knowing the reason behind this behavior. Some may continue to criticize the person with the trauma even when explained the reason, claiming that the trauma doesn't "justify" their behavior. In the case of fictional characters, expect one to call a trauma-stricken character "annoying" for lashing out.

The third reason is for those who get excitement and joy out of shaming someone else is really only trying to deflect attention away from themselves and to hide there own imperfections.
