Trolled My Fandom

When a television, literature, movie, or anime/manga series goes so far off the rails that it's almost as if the creator is trolling internet fansites, hungry for ideas.

Se also Jump The Shark
Magnificent Bastardo just killed his trusted lackey for failing him in a game of hop-skotch? Corporal FlameHappy has a soft spot for kittens? The hero's mother was a SHEEP!?

Damn you! *Authors Name* has Trolled My Fandom!

One Direction fandom

the most powerful fandom in the world that can do literally ANYTHING. they're better than the FBI. the funniest, coolest, most amazing fandom but will destroy you if you say anything bad about one direction.

doctor who fandom

A delightful group of doctor who fans (aka whovians) that enjoy two hearted aliens, bow ties, and police boxes that occasionally have their living selves transferred into women named "Idris". Members of the doctor who fandom are also well adapted to change. They have to be considering that the main character gains a new actor constantly. It sounds odd, but some whovians (like me) prefer to call it "ood".
Friend: what are you always doing on tumblr?
Me: communicating with members of the doctor who fandom.
Friend: the what?
Me: you know. The awesome people.
Friend: geek
Me: thank you

Genre Fandom

Genre Fandom (also written as genre-fandom) is a fandom with no discernable source of canon, too many discernable sources of canon, or something in which anything can be canon if it's creator decides it is. Examples of this include cryptids, eldritch monsters, or furries. This category is for fandoms that don't technically have a clear canon source (clear canon as in Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Haiykuu, etc), but still have a community following as though it does.
1: Would furries be a fandom?
2: I think they'd be a genre fandom...
