hyperpigmentation

this meme references a video of a girl showing her mom a picture of her that she drew, which saw fame in 2024 but came back in january 2025. the mom in the video starts off asking the girl to show her the portrait she drew of her mom, but the girl was a little embarrassed. when she finally handed over the drawing to her mom with hesitation, her mom was visibly trying her best not to laugh so as to not hurt the girl's feelings. the mom interprets the girl's drawing of her cheek as hyperpigmentation and is the origin of the meme
