The "juice"

The "juice" is often used instead of the word: "vigorish" Used in betting parlance and sometimes in business, especially in the business of loan sharking.
The "juice" on a bet is what one pays the bookmaker for taking the bet, which is usually 10%. One lays 11.00 to get 10.00 on a base bet.
