A great person, typically with glasses and extremely skinny, who has never gotten a B in their life. A modern idea for a great person like a "nerd"is that they like to gain some weight and exercise. They are portrayed with glasses since they read a lot and a study says that not having a great eye sight means you have a high IQ.
Man, I want to be a nerd, since all successful people were called nerds at school.

Secondary definition, applies to usage during or in the result of programming/ writing computer programs.

When one programmer finds, uses, or sees code written by another programmer that is either:
1. Completely wrong
2. Done in a ridiculous way
3. Extremely inefficient
4. Looks like something written by a third grader in 1695
