the process of counting down from 5 in order to make a certain assumption if something is superduper gay.

the gay down:If you hug a friend that is also a male(assuming your a dude), you must count down from 5. Once it reaches zero, its totally turned from friendly to gay. If two hot women do such acts, it is considered super friggin hot, not gay.
