There is no Spoon

A phrase popularized by Keanu Reeve's character Neo in The Matrix, acting as a turning point for Neo's mentality regarding the reality of the Matrix.

'There is no spoon' implies that, despite all visual, physical, or mental evidence to the contrary, the thing in question does not exist.

A man walking in the desert sees an oasis appear as from nowhere. "There is no spoon." And he walks away.

Talented Spoon

Derived from the theory that Asains choose their names by sounds spoons created when they fall on the floor (Chang, Thong, Bing). When a person of Asain decent has a western name it is assumed that a talented spoon created it.

This Chinese dude roundhouse kicked six bears and a tiger. The best part was his name is Steve. That must have been one talented spoon!

This is 3 or more people spooning in the same direction to either preserve heat or reduce the space taken up in a cramped area. It is a manoeuvre most often performed by teens.

eg- "its a 3 man tent and theres 5 of us... time to spoon train"
