I couldn't decide what to listen to. I started w/ ska, went to pop punk, 90s country, the soundtrack to Dear Evan Hansen, and finally settled on early 2000s Taylor Swift. I was having a full blown musical identity crisis.

Additionally, people who are higher in trait openness are going to be more fluid in their personality. So you're contradicting the personality literature. That isn't 'not having an identity" it's 'being high in trait openness.' So, that's ridiculous. Are women reliably higher in trait openness? They're reliably more liberal. And liberalism is associated with being higher in trait openness (if I'm remembering correctly). So.... Yeah, that tracks. They're doing it right, I guess. Yeah, no, you lost me at no tattoos. Most associated with genres with strong anti-authoritarian tendencies like punk, indie rock or hip hop, but can be applied to a wide range of situations, like random American fans of J-pop who really only like it because they can feel special, in contrast to true appreciators.
Sometimes associated with hipsters, or rather, their imitators.
Nevertheless everyone needs a dose of identity band sometimes. The opposite excess, where your playlist is entirely composed of songs off the top 40 lists, is a much worse sin.

You don't dictate the extent to which I am or am not Hym. My identity doesn't alter that fact that you are trying to steal my time and my labour. And you don't get to tell me that because I'm using a pseudonym it somehow de-legitimizes the contributions I've made. My identity isn't the problem here. My behavior isn't the problem here. And if you don't stop YOUR behavior and reveal YOUR identity, I AM GOING TO MURDER SOMEONE'S CHILD.
