Straight as a dart

A term used to describe something that is cool or awesome (used as the description of straight), in comparison of a dart (a tobacco cigarette). The phrase therefore has a double-meaning; literally that something is straight (not curved) as a dart or straight (awesome) as a dart.

That party was so sick it was straight as a dart.

shallow as a shower

adjective; describing one who is so skin-deep that he or she does the following:

1) invests an excessive portion of disposable income on clothes, shoes, hair products, cosmetics, shake-weights, plastic surgery, and other means to fit the arbitrary standards of beauty ascribed by his or her culture/ society,
2) walks around in public places filling the self-assigned role of fashion police
3) views those who do not ascribe to his/her standards of beauty as inferior beings to self
4) values such standards (otherwise defined as "hotness") in potential significant others, over personality and intelligence
5) is willing to dump said significant others who downgrade in terms of such standards
6) suffers an existential crisis when suffering such a downgrade

These pricks are so shallow as a shower, I doubt they know what the concept of a human being is

Southern and western phase describing a person or and

Organization as being extremely untrustworthy, crooked, cheating and corrupt with out shame.

Old Judge Thompson is as crooked as a bag of snakes, he gives those local attorneys anything they want against out of town people and insurance companies.

happy as a sand boy

As happy as a sandboy is an expression which implies blissful contentment and comes from the days when Publicans in the 17th-19th Century used to spread sand on bar floors to catch slops, spills, spit and so on. They used little boys ie Sandboys, to spread sand on the floor & sweep up the soiled sand. They were 'paid' in ale, normally the slops, which made them drunk/merry/happy.
