You don't hafta BREAK DA WALL DOWN to get inside!

What you eye-twinklingly tell one or more workmen who are hammering/prying away siding and/or timbers on a home or business in preparation to making repairs/renovations.

Anytime I come upon contractors doing outside carpentry work at a home or place of business along da main street downtown, I love jokingly saying to them, "You know, guys --- there IS da FRONT DOOR, if you wanna get in so badly! You could just open da door and walk through; you don't hafta BREAK DA WALL DOWN to get inside!" I usually get an equally-smart-alecky reply from them, as well, such as, "Oh, we know that, but we wanna be more subtle about our entry!", or "Yeah, we could, but this way is more fun!"

Cut to Commercial Break

When you screw something up so badly in front of so many people, that you wish you were being pre-recorded on TV so you could ask the technical staff to literally "cut to commercial break." The cut to commercial break indicates that you have achieved an Xbox like screw up. If you were in a video game, the achievement "Worst thing you've done this year" would indicate below you on screen.

I had a savage, throbbing boner during my job interview yesterday. When I stood up, it kinked in my pants like a broken candy bar and I know the hiring manager saw it. I really wished I could have cut to commercial break. I could hear him telling his buddy I must be "fun sized" on the way out of the lobby.

Break

The complete opposite of the technical definition; the time period where teachers find it perfectly acceptable to assign giant heaps of homework. As if students have time to analyze every Shakespearean play, invent an entirely new mathematical equation, read chapters one through ninety for biology, and singlehandedly solving world hunger; a time of no rejuvenation.

"Students, make sure you read all four hundred sixty four pages of 'Wuthering Heights' and write a 10 page summary on the theme of the book. Oh, by the way, I hope you have a very relaxing winter break, and make sure you get enough sleep!"
